Bio of To Die:
Martinus Indra Hermawan also known as Indra Menus or known by his stage name as To Die, is a musician, organizer and merch guy in the underground scene Yogyakarta. With his high school friends, he started the project To Die in 1998 as an off-shoot band plays Hardcore Punk music in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
To Die later developed into a solo project he is playing in a vocal composition along with handmade synthesizer from Kenali Rangkai Pakai.
Lyrics creations often have strong elements that are influenced from his personal life, the situation of the developing world, and also the personal opinion that tends to be political.
After releasing so many albums mostly as a split project with bands from all over the world, in 2013 To Die started to play abroad such as in Malaysia, Singapore and then touring Japan in 2015 in conjunction with Asian Music Festival 2015.
In addition to its project in To Die, Indra also active in the independent music gig organizers, Kongsi Jahat Syndicate; band tour booking agency, YK Booking and Indo DIY Tour; General Manager of an independent Records, Doggy House Records; and engaged as an archivist in Jogjakarta Zine Attak!
In 2009 he became one of the initiators of Jogja Noise Bombing, a collective focused on music and experimental noise in Yogyakarta. He was working as a music journalist in a national music magazine, DAB magz, also as a contributor in a Southeast Asia music magazine called Shock & Awe. Of the many activities in the underground music scene, Indra run Relamati Records, an independent label founded in 2002 that focuses on releasing extreme music and weird cassettes, lathe cut and CD.
